You earn referral cashback in XPL on eligible purchases made by friends you invite to Plasma One. Your tier determines the rate and duration.
What rate do I earn?

Platinum | 1% | 6 months |
The rate is based on your tier, rather than your friend's tier.
For example, at a 1% referral rate, $100 of eligible purchases earns $1 worth of referral cashback before any applicable limits.
When does referral cashback start?
Your friend must join using your code, complete identity verification, activate a card, and make an eligible purchase.
The earning period starts when your friend redeems your referral code. It does not wait until their first purchase.
Each referral has its own earning period.
What happens if I upgrade my tier?
Your referral cashback limits change to those of your new tier. Your potential maximum increases with the new tier.
Referral cashback and milestone bonuses are separate rewards.
Does the 3% Platinum boost still apply?
No. The 3% boost is replaced by a flat $300 referral bonus in spend credit when your referred friend upgrades to Platinum.
Standard Platinum referral cashback is 1% in XPL.
How is it paid?
Referral cashback is paid in XPL. The current cashback payout schedule is weekly.
Earning cashback and receiving a payout are separate steps. Check your reward details for its pending or paid status.
Is this the same as a referral bonus?
No. Referral cashback is a percentage of eligible card purchases. First-spend, high-spend, and upgrade bonuses each have separate qualifying conditions.
