Unlocking or locking lessons
Some lessons appear locked because a teacher hasn't unlocked them yet. On ubbu, you can lock or unlock lessons one at a time.
To unlock a lesson, just click the Unlock lesson button or the đ icon above your avatar.
If you need to lock it again, just click the Lock lesson button.
Accessing lesson details
On the class page, you can see the list of available lessons. Clicking a lesson takes you to its details, where you can view the title, description, and lesson plan, which details what's covered in each slide.
Below, you'll find the list of resources available in that lesson, with the title and type of resource (video, quiz, exercise, etc.). You can click on them to preview them without starting the lesson.
Clicking the Student list button, in the top right corner, lets you view the list of students in the class you chose. As your students log in to ubbu, they'll show a blue icon next to their name.
Starting the lesson
Once everyone is online, you can start the lesson. To do this, click the Enter â button. You'll be taken to the lesson's first resource, or slide, where you'll find the start bar. Clicking the Presentation button starts the lesson together with your students.
In the top bar you can navigate between resources. Your students will see the same slide you choose if you select teacher mode, but they will only be able to interact, to do an exercise or answer a quiz, if you choose student mode, on the right-hand side of the bar.
Whenever you need to, you can choose teacher mode again to lock the lesson.
Navigating within the lesson
Each lesson is made up of several resources, organized as slides, in the order they should be taught, such as:
Videos
Images
Games
Quizzes
Each resource has associated Instructions, where you'll find support information for the lesson, exercise solutions, and lesson introductions and conclusions (on the first and last slide of each lesson). To access the Instructions, just click the button on the left side of the screen.
Tracking student progress
To see your students progress throughout the lesson, just click the online students button, in the top right corner. You'll be taken to a page showing your student list and their progress throughout the lesson.
Ending the lesson
When you reach the last slide, click Stop presentation, and to end your lesson, click Finish.
The lesson will show as completed, and a lesson report will be generated, which you can view on the Class metrics page. To learn more about this page, see this article.
If your class hasn't completed all the exercises or moments in the lesson, you can teach it again at any time by clicking Present lesson again. The lesson report will be updated to reflect the changes.
Remote lessons
You don't need to be present with your students for them to complete a lesson on ubbu. As long as the lesson is unlocked (see the "Unlocking or locking lessons" section above), students can access their accounts and complete it from any computer, and you'll always have access to the results in that lesson's report.
