ubbu presents something new - a change in the platform's navigation.

We want children, in addition to learning, to become involved in a world rich in adventures and discoveries. This guide will help you explore the world of ubbu, introducing the changes you will encounter.

For a first release, these changes will only be visible to students. In the near future, the teacher experience will be identical.

Platform’s Login

The login remains the same. Just use the access details to log in.

Lessons

Course view

Where we find the big difference. Previously, navigation through lessons was as found below. It was navigated from left to right, with the resources available below.

Now, navigation is vertical, from top to bottom, with the details of each lesson appearing on the right side.

Previously, curriculum modules were identified at the top of the lesson navigation:

The following will be present on each lesson card:

When completed, the lesson can be revisited by clicking the button highlighted below:

Blocked lessons

How do blocked lessons appear for students?

Before they looked like this:

The gray color remains to be easily identifiable:

Other possible states

In the image below you can see the following cases:

Lesson 1 - Completed and unlocked

Lesson 2 - Completed and blocked

Lesson 3 - Incomplete and blocked

Lesson 4 - Incomplete and unlocked

Lesson 5 - Selected by the user

Feature list

The resource list is an area where students can see the content of each lesson. Previously it was presented this way:

To see it now, you can find it on the lesson card under See resources:

By clicking on See Resources, you will see what they are, your progress and, if you click on one of them, you will go directly to the selected resource.

End of level

Previously it was possible to navigate through the levels like this:

Now, the end of each level will be identified as follows:

Both unlocking lessons and levels remain the responsibility of the teacher.

If you wish to return to a previous level, simply click on “Return to Level…”:

Navigation bar

Previously the navigation bar was highlighted like this:

It will look like this:

The student will automatically enter the level they are currently at.

The other options work the same way.

In the Courses area, you will find lessons, which offer in-depth and linear learning.

In the Challenges area, you will find small thematic lessons, where you learn a concept or build code. Unlike Course lessons, these contents have a short format with no order between them.

In the Projects area, children are free to imagine their own creations and share them with the community. It is also a tool that teachers can use to develop interdisciplinary projects.

The introduction of the ubbu world represents an evolution in the platform, incorporating elements of gamification, virtual exploration and a multidisciplinary approach. This perspective highlights the importance of embracing innovation in education, providing children with a more engaging and meaningful learning experience.
