Purpose of this article:
Dynamic elements such as countdowns are essential in marketing. They create urgency, boost engagement, and accelerate conversions. We explain step-by-step how to effectively integrate a countdown timer into your e-mails and landing pages.
Step 1: Content design
From your e-mail or landing page editor, customize your content by creating, for example, an additional block above or below the counter.
Then, in your editor, drag and drop the image block, as illustrated below :
By clicking on a corner of the image block, rather than on Browse, locate the section of the URL where the backlink will be embedded.
Step 2: Create a countdown with Sendtric
Setting up a countdown on Sendtric.com is free and easy.
Simply fill in the following information:
1. Your e-mail address
2. Your time zone
3. End date (maximum 30 days from current date)
4. Preferred display language
5. Colors: Background, labels, numbers.
In our configuration, we opt for a black background with white numbers.
We'll adapt the background color (#000000) of the block where our timer will be integrated for better harmonization.
By clicking on the color blocks (5), use the up and down arrows to select the HEX format (6), then paste the background color code (7) you've copied from Plezi.
Then click on "Generate" to create a link.
Step 3: Adding the counter in the editor.
After «generating» your link, locate and copy the URL from https:// as shown below:
In the Plezi editor, copy this URL into the «Image URL» section, as shown below:
And then, the magic happens: the counter appears as expected 🎉
Now all you have to do is register your e-mail campaign and/or landing page.
