Welcome to the 4-Card PLO Trainer! If you're a new user or haven't used the PLO Trainer in some time, the initial view can be intimidating if you're not sure where to go or what to do, so we're breaking it down into very easy steps! In this first tutorial, let's take a look at how to use the PLO Trainer menu.

Text & Screen Reader Tutorial (Classic UI):
1.1 - Preflop
If you're trying to load preflop game trees, train your preflop game, or study preflop ranges this is the icon you want to click.
This icon is the default icon or mode selected when you first load the PLO Trainer. This is how you can navigate all of the preflop game trees that are available. After you have clicked this icon, you can use the two dropdown fields located just to the right. The first dropdown has all of the different rake structures and the second dropdown has the different stack sizes. Please note not all stack sizes are available for all rake structures. By default, 6-Max PokerStars PLO50 (100bb) is selected.
For a complete list of all game trees, rake structures, and stack sizes available please visit https://intercom.help/plo-mastermind/en/articles/9900421-4-card-plo-trainer-rake-structures.
1.2 - Postflop
If you're trying to find postflop sims, train a postflop spot, study postflop ranges, or find flops/turns/rivers, this is the icon you want to click.
This icon will take you into the postflop game trees and nodes. After you select Postflop, you need to use the dropdown to first select the number of players (heads up or 6-max) and then the stack size/scenario/positions.
Postflop Categories
You need to select the postflop category first:
Heads Up: These are postflop sims for heads up specific ranges, which will be a lot wider than standard 6-max or MTT ranges.
6-Max One-on-one: These are postflop sims for 6-max ranges where we are now heads-up on a flop. Please note the 3-Bet pot sims inside this category utilize the two bet sizing strategy (50% and 100%).
6-Max Framework: This category is strictly for 100bb 3-Bet pots utilizing our single size postflop framework.
6-Max Multiway: This category is for all of our multiway sims. There are only a few multiway scenarios we have sims for, for both single raised pots and 3-Bet pots.
6-Max MTT: These are tournament specific sims for a variety of different stack sizes, from 10bb to 100bb.
1.3 - Custom
PLO Trainer lets you import custom ranges and create a custom node using your own sims. This feature is for more advanced players and people who are experienced with MonkerSolver and won't be covered in this basic tutorial.
1.4 - Skills
Skills is a preflop only, fast training tool that is optimized for a mobile experience. If you are looking to quickly get into a preflop node and train some hands, this is a great tool.
As this is a PLO Trainer quick tutorial, we won't be diving into Skills specifically but it's very easy to learn and use with just a few clicks!
1.5 - New UI
PLO Mastermind is working on a new UI for PLO Trainer! You can click this icon to switch between the classic UI of PLO Trainer (which this tutorial is for) and the PLO Trainer with the new UI including the new Matrix view. Please note that the new UI is still in alpha development and doesn't have all of the features that PLO Trainer has yet.
If you are a new user to PLO Trainer it's recommended to use the classic UI and then start to use the new UI and Matrix view once you are more comfortable and familiar with PLO Trainer.
1.6 - Other Icons
There are a few more icons in PLO Trainer that we'll cover with a simple list:
Window - opens a duplicate window/tab with your current settings. This is useful if you're training a spot and want to look up a different range or position without having to exit your current node or training session
Pale/Vibrant - This will change the colors of the cards inside PLO Trainer
Refresh - This icon is used if you're having issues with PLO Trainer or if you've paid for a subscription but are still seeing nodes that are locked
Get Help - This will open a link to join our Discord where our support team or another member can help answer your questions about PLO Trainer
Updates - The updates button will load a modal with important information about the most recent updates to PLO Trainer
Log out - Ready to call it a day? Use the log out button to quit your session
