6-month plans are subscriptions that will renew automatically at the end of the period.
Yearly plans are one-time payments and do NOT automatically renew at the end of the period.
Monthly plans are also monthly subscriptions that renew automatically, and can be cancelled at any time from your Billing settings.
You can cancel your 6-month membership with a few clicks under your User Profile > Billing > Subscription.
