If you are installing a charging station at home or at your workplace in Flanders, you are required to report it to the grid operator Fluvius. In the other regions of Belgium, you must also register your charging station with the appropriate grid operator.
You must always register your charging station on their website using a specific form — even if it was installed some time ago! This reporting requirement, imposed by the VREG, applies to both private and public charging stations, regardless of their location.
To properly register your charging station on the website, you will need the following information:
The EAN code of your existing electricity connection
Name of your installer
Name of the inspection body
Installation site details
Technical specifications of the installation
...
Note that the required information may differ depending on the grid operator. Be sure to carefully read the guidelines on their respective websites.
