This procedure is useful when you want to set up newly installed WiFi devices to configure them for use with the local WiFi credentials.

  • All Plugzio WiFi devices all have a default network stored in memory which you can use to easily connect them to the internet.

  • This network has the following configuration:

SSID: Plugzio

Password: WelcomePlugzio

  • An easy way to set an access point for Plugzio WiFi devices to connect to is by creating a hotspot on your mobile phone

  • Note that your mobile carrier data rates will apply

Android Phones

The configuration on Android devices may vary slightly depending on your phone's brand, model and Android OS. This section will explain the general steps needed to hotspot an Android device

  • Navigate to your phone "Settings" > "Network & Internet" page

  • Select the "Hotspot & tethering" followed by "Wi-Fi hotspot" options

  • Configure your hotspot with the "Plugzio" network information above

  • Turn "On" the hotspot & WiFi Plugzio devices will automatically connect to your mobile device.

  • See video below visual guide on how to set up the hotspot with an Android device.
