Creating a new subscription plan in your community lets you earn recurring income from your audience.

Podia allows you to create as many subscription plans as you'd like with different pricing, product access, and topics.


Creating a new subscription plan

Here's how to create a new subscription plan on Podia.

  1. In the sidebar menu, click on Community and then select Plans.

  2. Click on "+ New plan" to add a new subscription plan.

  3. Fill in the details of your new subscription plan.

When creating a new subscription plan you'll be able to modify a few parameters, such as:

  • Details: Name, description, and image.

  • Price: Create a free plan or set up a price for your new subscription plan. You can also set a trial period for a paid plan.

  • Stripe must be connected in order to set up paid subscription plans.

  • Included products: Give members access to specific products once they join your subscription plan.

  • Availability: Choose the visibility and level of access you want to offer for this plan. These settings will not impact any existing members of this plan.

  • Integrations: Sync your plan members with an external mailing list when they complete their account setup.

Once you’re done, hit Create Plan to finish creating your subscription plan.


FAQ

Can I change the price of a plan after I publish it?

No, you WON'T be able to change the price of a plan after publishing it.

What billing intervals are available for subscription plans?

Subscription plans are billed on a monthly and/or yearly basis, with the customer’s billing date determined by the day they joined your plan.

For example, if a customer signs up for a monthly subscription on May 14th, their next billing date will be June 14th.

Do you support PayPal & Stripe for subscription plans?

If you intend to create paid subscription plans, you will need to connect your Stripe account.

PayPal isn't supported for community payment processing at this time.

Can members join more than one subscription plan?

Members are only able to have one active subscription plan.

If they want to join a different plan they can always change their plan directly from their dashboard.
