Give community members access to products

Learn how to add products to plans so members automatically get access.

One of the best things about hosting your community on Podia is how smoothly it connects with all your digital products.

You can include any product hosted on Podia in a subscription plan, giving members free access to those products as soon as they join your community.


Giving members access to your products

Here are the steps to give community members access to products.

  1. In the sidebar menu, click on Community and then select Plans.

  2. Click on “Edit” next to the plan you’d like to include products for.

  3. Locate the Included products section and type the name of the product you want to add or select it from the dropdown menu.

    You can add as many products as you'd like.

  4. Once you have added all of the products you’d like, save your changes.


FAQ

Will members be notified once a product has been added to their plan?

Members will not be notified that a product has been added to their plan; it will simply be accessible from their customer dashboard.

If you want to notify them, you can send an email broadcast.

Can my members buy products that aren’t included in their subscription plan?

Yes! If a product isn't included in a subscription plan, members can still purchase it from your site.

If you don't want this to happen, you can consider hiding and closing the products for enrollment.

Can non-members buy products I include in subscription plans?

By default, yes. Non-members will also be able to buy products you include in your subscription plan.

If you want to make products you include in subscription plans exclusive to members, make sure to follow these steps.

What happens when someone cancels their subscription?

They’ll lose access to the Community and any products tied to that subscription plan once the plan ends.

Access to the plan content remains active until the subscription fully lapses.

If they’ve purchased any of the included products separately, they’ll still keep access to those.
