Once you've set up recurring payments, you'll see a record of the payments within the "Recurring payments" tab. What do all the labels and terminologies mean?

One-time payment

You can set up recurring payments with a one-time payment. For example, you may want to charge the parent £20 at the time of checkout, followed by a recurring payment of £50 to be taken on the 1st of each month for the next 4 months.

The one-time payment is optional. Any one-time payment will appear in the "One-time payment" column.

Generated payments

Using the same example above, on the 1st of each month, a payment will be generated. The number of generated payments is recorded in the "Generated payments" column.

The number in this column tracks the number of recurring payments only. The one-time payment will not be counted towards this number.

Status and cancelling a recurring payment

Once a recurring payment is set up, the status will appear as "set up".

You can cancel a recurring payment at any time by scrolling to the right on the dashboard and click on "cancel". Once cancelled, the status will show as "cancelled".

Payment details

By clicking into the PonchoPay recurring payment ID, those that start with PR-, you'll be able to see the recurring payment details.

A recurring payment will consist of the payments that it has generated. Each payment generated by the recurring payment will appear in the recurring payment details page as well as the main "Payments" dashboard.
