Carousels: Create Multiple Slides in One Shot

You asked for it, and it's here. You can now generate carousels directly inside Poppy — no more creating images one at a time.

Carousels let you generate 2 to 10 slides with one consistent style. Use them for LinkedIn, Instagram and educational content.

How to create a carousel

  1. Add your topic and brand material to the board and connect it to an AI chat.

  2. In the chat, ask for a carousel and say how many slides you want. You can also open the chat's tools menu and pick Carousel.

  3. Poppy makes slide 1 first as a preview. The card asks Is this the right style?

  4. Click Continue to generate the rest, or Cancel to delete the carousel.

Example prompt: "Create a 5-slide carousel about productivity tips for entrepreneurs, minimalist black and white."

Poppy picks the slide shape for you: 4:5 for Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn posts, 9:16 for stories and TikTok, or square.

Edit a carousel

  1. Click the carousel card, then click Edit in the toolbar. Double-clicking the card also works.

  2. Pick a slide. The chat on the left says Describe how you want to edit this slide. Type a change like "Change the background to blue" and press Enter.

  3. Each edit is saved as a new version. Use Version x / y on the right to go back.

In the editor you can also:

  • Drag the slides in the strip at the bottom to reorder them.

  • Click Add Post to describe and generate another slide.

  • Click Regenerate image to redo a slide.

  • Click Delete slide (you can't delete the last slide).

  • Click Download to save one slide.

If a slide fails, click Retry on it.

Edit design (if you see it)

Some accounts have Edit design in the slide options. It opens a canvas where text and objects are separate layers. Poppy finds the text on the slide (about 20 seconds the first time) so you can edit it. Magic layers splits the objects in the image into separate layers (about 40 seconds). Click Save as version to keep your changes. If you don't see these buttons, they aren't on for your account yet.

Download, share and post

  • Download All saves every slide as a ZIP.

  • Share makes a public link and copies it. After you edit, click Update to refresh the link.

  • Create post (if you see it) turns the slides into a Content Studio post. Instagram takes up to 10 pictures, Facebook 10, LinkedIn 20, TikTok 35 and X 4. YouTube only takes videos.

Model and credits

Slides use the image model selected in the chat. If the chat is on a text model, they use GPT Image 2.5 Flare. Edits, regenerated slides and added slides always use Flare. Each slide uses credits. See the AI Models Guide.

Quick tips

  • Be specific. "5 slides about X in a minimalist black and white style" beats "make a carousel".

  • Connect your sources first: brand guidelines, voice docs, examples.

  • Edit in the carousel editor, not in the chat that made it.
