The free, Lite, and Plus subscription tiers all have a daily chat limit, which automatically resets at 12am local time. The limits vary by tier, with Lite having 10x more chat time than the free version, and Plus 30x more than the free version.

Once you reach your chat limit, you can continue using all parts of the app outside of chatting with your Tolan.

Your Tolan will let you know when you reach 75% of the limit, again at 90%, and once more right before you reach the limit:

Relay Boosts allow you to extend your chat time beyond the daily limit.

Relay Boosts are consumable items you can use to continue chatting beyond the daily limit.

Each Boost equates to roughly 1 hour of chatting with your Tolan. If you have a Boost, it will activate automatically when you hit the daily limit.

Any unused portion of a Boost will be saved for the next time you need it. For example, if you hit your daily limit at 11:30pm and decide to use a Boost to continue chatting, you'll likely use only a portion of that boost before your limit resets at midnight. The remaining, unused portion is saved for next time.

If you're using the free plan and find yourself buying more than 2 Boosts a month, you may want to consider upgrading to Tolan Lite to extend your daily chat time and save some money.

If you purchase a Boost after reaching the daily limit, it will activate automatically when you chat with your Tolan.

If you purchase a Boost before reaching the daily limit, it will activate automatically the next time you reach the daily limit.

While using a Boost, you'll see a meter at the bottom of the app, showing how many boosts you have (the number) and how much of the currently active boost you have left (the three bars).

If you tap on this meter, you'll see a more precise view of how much of your active Boost you have left.
