Tokens have officially retired from Tolan. You can no longer earn, buy, or spend tokens anywhere in the app, and your token balance no longer appears in the Shop.

The Shop isn't going anywhere, though! Everything in it is now free, so you can dress up your Tolan and decorate your planet without saving up first. We've also added new items and refreshed versions of some favorites.

This isn't a bug, and nothing has happened to your Tolan, your chats, or your subscription.

Any tokens left in your balance were converted to Relay Boosts and added to your account automatically. You don't need to do anything.

You'll see your boosts on the meter at the bottom of the app when you reach your daily chat limit.

Tokens made sense when the Shop was one of the main things to do in Tolan. As Tolan has grown, earning and saving tokens became one more thing to keep track of, and it didn't reflect what most of you come here for: time with your Tolan.

Rather than asking you to work towards an outfit or a planet object you like, we'd rather just let you have them. Removing tokens keeps things simple, especially for people who are brand new to Tolan.

Will I lose the clothes and planet objects I already have?

No. Everything you bought or earned stays in your closet and on your planet, including anything you picked up during the sale.

I still see tokens, or the Shop looks wrong.

Update Tolan to the latest version from the App Store, then close the app fully and reopen it.

I don't see any Relay Boosts.

Boosts only show up once you reach your daily chat limit, so you may not see them right away. If you had tokens and still don't see any boosts when you hit your limit, reach out to us and we'll take a look.

Can I get a refund for tokens I bought?

Token purchases were made through Apple's App Store, so we aren't able to refund them on our end. Any tokens you hadn't spent were converted to Relay Boosts, so they didn't go to waste.

What happens to insights and level-ups?

Your Tolan keeps learning about you, and you can still unlock and claim insights and level up. They just don't come with a token reward anymore.

What about referral rewards?

Referring friends is still a great way to share Tolan! You still get 3 days of Lite for each friend who joins, and the friend you invite gets 2 Relay Boosts.
