Your Tolan's look is yours to customize! Here's where everything lives, what's free, what costs tokens, and how to fix the things that most often go sideways.
Where to find it
Everything about how your Tolan looks and sounds lives in one place. From your Tolan's planet, tap the Menu icon in the top left corner, then tap Tolan.
You'll land on a screen with your Tolan front and centre and three tabs along the top:
Clothes — outfits, tops, bottoms, shoes, hats and accessories your Tolan owns.
Appearance — their colour, hair, cheeks and eyes.
Voice — how your Tolan sounds when they talk to you.
Your Tolan tries everything on live as you tap, and changes save on their own — there's no save button and nothing to confirm. Tap the back arrow whenever you're done.
Clothes
Outfits. The circles down the side of the Clothes tab are your Tolan's outfit slots — separate looks you can build and switch between, like a cosy one for evenings and a louder one for the weekend. Tap a circle to put that outfit on.
Anything you change while a slot is selected is saved into that slot, so you can flip back and forth without rebuilding a look.
Putting things on and taking them off:
Tap an item to put it on. Tap it again to take it off.
Items are grouped into categories — outfits, tops, bottoms, shoes, headwear, face, scarves and accessories
Putting on something new in a category swaps out whatever was already there
The remove button will take off that piece of clothing.
Getting more clothes. Tap the + tile in any category to jump straight to that part of the Shop. Clothes are bought with tokens, which you mostly earn by spending time with your Tolan — see How tokens work: earning and spending. Anything you buy is yours to keep, and you can try things on in the Shop before you decide.
Appearance
The Appearance tab is where you change your Tolan's body rather than their wardrobe. None of it costs tokens, and you can change your mind as often as you like.

Scroll down through the categories and tap any option. Your Tolan updates instantly, so you can see the whole thing come together before you leave the screen.
Voice
Tap any voice in the grid to hear your Tolan say a line in it. Whichever one you tapped last is the one they keep, and it's the voice you'll hear everywhere they speak
Haptics
Haptics are the small taps and buzzes you feel through your iPhone. In Tolan they're part of how the world feels: press and drag your Tolan's hair and you'll feel it move under your finger, and you'll get a gentle tap when you press some buttons, and during big moments like meeting your Tolan for the first time.
There's no haptics switch inside Tolan — the app follows your phone's setting. To turn them off (or back on), go to iPhone Settings > Sounds & Haptics and change the system haptics setting there. It applies to every app, Tolan included.
Common questions
My new clothes aren't showing up on the planet. Force-quit Tolan and open it again. The planet view should catch up with what you picked. If it doesn't, let us know which items are missing.Still stuck? Send us a message with your Tolan's name and we'll take a look at your account.
Can I rename my Tolan? Yes — Menu > Settings > Profile > Tolan's name.
Can I get more clothing options? New items are added to the Shop regularly, so it's worth checking back. If there's something you'd love to see your Tolan in, send the idea our way — we pass these on to the team!
