1) What is Post and how is it designed to support content creators

Post was built to help readers support their favorite creators and premium publishers on social media via micropayments. Content is distributed and managed from your Post account, where you can engage directly with followers and control pricing for posts over 280 characters. Readers can pay for or tip your posts, follow your account, and spark conversations around your content.

2) How do I create a post

Tapping on the blue circle with the pencil icon takes you to the composer where you can add images, upload video, embed links and write short or long-form content to share with your audience both on Post and across other platforms. As you write, more features unlock:

3) How do I monetize my content

In addition to liking, sharing or commenting on your post, your audience can support you by tipping your posts or by purchasing content that you price with Post Points (see steps above on how to price content).

1 point = 1 cent and you keep 100% of the points that are transferred to your Post account. There is no revenue share and you can withdraw your points at any time once you surpass $50 worth of points (5K points).

By publishing on Post and sharing a link across other platforms, you can direct your audiences from all channels to Post where they can support your content with tips or purchases.

4) What role do newsletters play on Post

Newsletters provide a cadence for the content we care about written by voices we trust. However, newsletters can easily get lost in the clutter of an inbox. On Post, we’d like to take newsletters out of the inbox and put them in a more ideal environment for catching up on news and enjoying creator content - the Post feed.

As a first step, we’ve added ingested newsletters into the #newsletters topic. We’re now enabling all creators to have their newsletters auto-publish to their profile (apply here). And soon we’ll be releasing features to discover, get notified about, and subscribe to newsletters directly on Post.

In summary… we see you newsletters… and we’re building a home for you on Post.

5) I’m managing 10 social media platforms… Where does Post fit in?

For many, Post is rebuilding the lost connection between the informed, the curious, and the world around us. Because Post takes misinformation and toxic behavior seriously, it optimizes your feed for quality discovery and makes the comments a place for civil conversations. On Post, we’ve heard people share that this is the first time they’ve felt comfortable posting on social media in 10 years. We encourage all creators to not only spark but also engage in conversations with their readers.

For creators managing a growing list of social profiles, you’ll find that Post is an ideal home for publishing your longer form content. There is no character limit on posts and our expanded view is optimal for in depth reads, photo essays or video.

Post can work collaboratively with your other social profiles. Sharing links to your posts across other social channels provides you the opportunity to receive tips for your work.

There is also the option to price your content.

And for those who just don’t have the time to manage another channel, setting up your newsletter for auto-ingestion is a turnkey way to develop an engaged audience on Post ongoingly without additional effort. You can simply apply here to provide a newsletter feed, and then sit back as each newest edition of your newsletter publishes as a full native post under your Post account.

Feel free to share thoughts, ideas, feedback on the comments in this post or email us at creators@post.news. And again, you can apply to have your newsletter ingested automatically to your Post account here.
