Order Editing with Celigo
If you're using Celigo as your warehouse management and fulfilment system, your Shopify payment capture settings need to be configured for Order Editing to work as expected.
This ensures orders are only sent to Celigo after the editing window ends, so the final edited order is processed.
Recommended setup
Set your Shopify payment capture method to Automatically at fulfillment.
Here's a breakdown of what happens with this setup:
When a customer places an order, the payment status stays as Authorized
The order is not marked as Paid immediately
The order is therefore not pushed to Celigo straight away
Once the order editing window expires, PostCo captures the payment and marks the order as Paid
The final edited order is then sent to Celigo for processing
Why this matters
Celigo receives orders once they are marked as Paid in Shopify. If payment is captured immediately at checkout, the order may be sent to Celigo before the editing window closes.
Do I need Shopify Flow?
In most cases, no. For a standard Celigo setup, changing the payment capture method is the key requirement. Shopify Flow is generally only needed if you have more complex routing logic or exceptions.
