Carousels are one of the most powerful formats on LinkedIn - they get more engagement, more saves, and get shared across teams. Here's everything you need to know about creating and customizing carousels in Postiv AI.
Creating Your Carousel
You have two main approaches to create carousels:
Method 1: Start with a Post (Recommended)
This is the best way to create high-quality carousels:
Create a LinkedIn post first: Chat with your AI agent about your topic
Review the structure: Make sure the content flow and outline are solid
Convert to carousel: Ask "Turn this into a carousel"
Customize the design: Use the editor to perfect the look
Add visuals: Replace placeholder images with relevant graphics
Why this works: You nail the content structure before spending time on design. Content first, design second.
Example:
"Write a post about why businesses need personal brands on LinkedIn"
Review and refine the post
"Turn this into a carousel"
Edit and customize
Method 2: Create Directly
Go straight to carousel creation if you know exactly what you want:
Tell your AI agent: "Create a carousel about [your topic]"
The AI generates both content and slides
Customize in the editor
Example: "Create a carousel with 4 tools for AI workflows: ChatGPT, Zapier, Make, and Airtable"
Editing Your Carousels
Important: Carousel editing is done through the dedicated edit interface, NOT via chat. Trying to edit carousels through chat doesn't work properly.
How to Access the Editor
Find the edit button in the upper right corner of your carousel preview. Click it to open the visual editor.
What You Can Edit
Once in the editor, you have control over parts of your carousel design:
Text & Typography
Edit text content on any slide
Change font style
Modify headlines and body copy
Visual Design
Backgrounds: Change colors, gradients, or patterns
Colors: Customize to match your brand
Images & Graphics
Add images: Upload new visuals
Replace images: Swap placeholder images with your own
Position images: Adjust size and placement
Image sources: Use images from your Content Library or upload new ones
Slide Elements
Slide counters: Show or hide page numbers
Call-to-actions: Customize your CTA on the final slide
Slide order: Rearrange slides if needed
Individual slide styling: Each slide can have unique design elements. Important! We do not recommend asking the chat to change slide lay-outs.
Can the AI Add Images to My Carousels?
Yes! The AI can help with images in several ways:
Automatic Image Search
Search logos and images on the web: AI finds relevant visuals
Use Content Library images: Pull from images you've uploaded
Add screenshots: Use screenshots you've added to your library
Find relevant visuals: AI matches images to your topic
How It Works
When you create a carousel, your AI agent can:
Search for relevant logos (e.g., tool logos, company logos)
Find appropriate stock images or graphics
Use images from your uploaded Content Library
Add screenshots you've previously uploaded
However: You can always replace any AI-selected images through the edit interface.

Image Tips

Common Carousel Editing Mistakes

β Trying to change the slide templates: AI usually won't create better slides if you ask it to change it.
β Using the visual editor for all design changes
β Using real screenshots and relevant images
Troubleshooting
My carousel isn't generating properly
Make sure you:
Have enough content in your library related to the topic
Start with creating a post first, then convert to carousel
Be specific in your request to the AI agent
Check that your images are properly uploaded if you want custom visuals
I can't find the edit button
Look in the upper right corner of your carousel preview. If you still can't find it, send Carolina a message for help.
The AI added the wrong images
No problem! Use the edit interface to replace any images. Click the image β Replace image β Choose your own.
My edits aren't saving
Make sure you're using the visual editor, not trying to edit via chat. If issues persist, reach out for support.
