There are 2 types of points in PraisePal: Allowance and Earnings.

Allowance

Allowance is the amount of points you get each month to giveaway. This is configured and assigned by your Workspace Admins.

Allowances can only be given away to others and cannot be used on yourself, or for your own Reward redemptions. Points in your Allowance also do not roll over; they expire on the last day of each month, and you get a refresh at the beginning of each month.

Earnings

Earnings are the points that are given to you by other people in your Workspace through Recognitions.

You can think of Earnings as your savings. They do not expire and can be accumulated and saved to redeem the Rewards that you want. Read here for more information on how to spend your Earnings.

Admin Adjustments

Note that for both Allowance and Earnings, Admins can either add, or deduct your allocated points on an ad hoc basis.
