In PraisePal, Admins can customise your reward catalogue, manage users, set up integrations, and more. By assigning Admins with different permissions, you can limit what each Admin has access to.

Who can use this feature

👑 Available to Workspaces on the Team Plan and above.

⚙️ Global Admin Permissions are required

Assigning Admin Permissions

You can assign Users with different permissions by assigning them to different Permission Groups. This can be done within the Admin Settings menu, under the Users tab.

When you click on a specific User, the edit user popup will show, with a field "Admin Permission Group". Simply select from the list of options to assign the User to the Permission Group that you want.

Once a User has been assigned with a Permission Group, they will now have a ⚙️icon under the Roles column of the Manage Users table to indicate that they are now an Admin.

Removing Admin Permissions

In a similar manner as to how you assign Users with a Permission Group, you can also remove it from a User anytime.

Important:

The Permission Group of a Workspace Owner cannot be removed or edited. You also cannot remove or change your own Permission Group.

Permission Groups

Permission Groups are groups of Admins that collectively share the same permissions. You can change what permissions each group has access to and create new groups within the Admin Settings menu, under the Workspace tab.

By default, all Workspaces come with a Global Permission Group. The Global Permission Group:

  • Grants all permissions to Users that are under this group.

  • Cannot be edited.

  • Is the only Permission Group available to Workspaces on the Free and Starter Plans.

  • Workspace Owners are automatically assigned to this group

To create a Permission Group, simply click on the "Add New Group" button.

This opens a popup with a full list of all the different permissions available to Admins. The permissions that you include into the Permission Group are collectively granted to Users that are assigned to the said Permission Group.

You can configure permissions in any combination you want, though certain permissions have pre-requisites. This is indicated with a 🔒emoji, with the pre-requisite stated.

A full list of permissions can be found here, along with the specific PraisePal functionality they grant access to.
