🕒 How can I change my goals or practice time?
You can adjust your goals by tapping the banner that shows information about your study plan at the top of the “Lessons” tab.
📈 How can I track my progress in the app?
Go to your profile and tap “Completed lessons”. There, you can see everything you’ve achieved — and feel proud of your progress!
🗣️ How do I change the tutor’s accent?
During a lesson, tap your tutor’s name at the top of the screen and choose an avatar with the accent you prefer.
We offer several options — such as American, British, Australian, and Asian — so you can find the style that suits you best!
You can also change your tutor from the “Profile” tab under “Avatar.”
📚 Can I review my lessons?
Yes! We know how important that is for complete learning.
All your lessons are saved in the “Completed lessons” section of your profile, and you can also download them as PDFs!
✍️ Does the app provide grammar and vocabulary support during lessons?
Yes! Praktika provides real-time grammar analysis and vocabulary suggestions while you practice. Your AI tutor is always ready to help you!
🎤 Does the app provide pronunciation feedback?
Yes! Praktika gives you pronunciation feedback on everything you say!
While chatting with a tutor, just tap the "?" on your own message. You'll get an overall and per-word score considering your pronunciation, fluency, completeness and rhythm. You can play your tutor's version next to your own, and Try Again to have another go, so you can improve as you chat!
🗂️ How can I save and use my vocabulary?
To save new words, simply tap the word or expression during the lesson. It will be automatically added to your dictionary in the “Profile” tab in the app.
🌎 Does Praktika offer languages other than English?
Yes! You can now also study Spanish, German, French, Italian, Portuguese (European and Brazilian), Korean, Japanese, Russian, Arabic and Simplified Chinese.
And good news: we’re working to add even more languages soon!
🔄 How do I switch between languages?
On the home screen, tap the flag icon in the upper-left corner and select the language you want to learn.
Then, complete a quick onboarding to indicate your level, goals, and preferences — and your AI tutor will create a personalized study plan.
⚡ How can I adjust the speaking speed?
During a lesson, tap the gear icon (⚙️) in the upper-right corner. Select “Speaking speed” and choose the pace you prefer.
🎙️ How do I use the microphone?
During the lesson, press the microphone while you speak. You can also drag up to lock the microphone and speak without holding the button.
In addition, Praktika offers a video-call mode! Just open the feature in the app and wait for the avatar to start speaking. This way, you can talk naturally without pressing anything — like in a real conversation!
When the avatar finishes, give your response. If a “thinking” emoji appears, it means the avatar is processing what you said.
💬 Do the avatars correct my mistakes?
Yes! All AI avatars provide real-time feedback. Making mistakes is part of learning — and Praktika is your safe space to practice.
Our tutors are patient and always ready to support you, without judgment.
👣 I’m a beginner and it’s too hard to study. What can I do to make learning easier?
We understand — learning a new language can be challenging at first. That’s why Praktika has the “Study in your native language” feature.
Go to Profile, tap the gear icon (⚙️) in the upper-right corner, find “Study in native language”, and turn it on. That way, you can follow the content more comfortably.
When you feel more confident, you can simply turn it off and switch back to your study language. But remember: without practice, there’s no progress!
🔠 How do I change the font size?
During a lesson, tap the gear icon (⚙️) in the upper-right corner. Select “Font size” and adjust it to what feels most comfortable for you.
