First of all learn more about datamodels here. Some of the attributes will be predefined and some will be custom. Learn more here
You need to create a datamodel and data attributes for each category: Products, Batch and Location.
For Products:
For the product datamodel you need the following data attributes:
descriptionOfGoods: Description of the product. We recommend using the Description attribute and then the Marketing Description.
hs code: HS code of the product. We recommend using the standard HS Code attribute.
scientificName: The scientific name (mandatory for timber). We recommend using the Scientific Name attribute.
commonName: In some cases you need a Common Name of the product. We recommend using the Common Name attribute.
weight: The weight of the product. We recommend using the standard Weight attribute.
For Batch:
For the batch datamodel you need the following data attributes:
DDS Internal Reference Number: Unique identifier for the DDS within the operator’s system. Internal order ID or a batch ID from ERP to link the DDS to an internal ID. We recommend using the standard attribute.
DDS Reference Number: Identifier used for EU TRACES. We recommend using the standard attribute.
DDS Verification Number: Identifier used for EU TRACES. We recommend using the standard attribute.
DDS Identifier: Identifier used for EU TRACES. We recommend using the standard attribute.
activityType: Definition of which activity is performed. Learn more about the definition of activity here. We recommend using the standard attribute.. There are four types of activities:
Import: When an Operator imports a product into the EU.
Export: When an Operator exports a product from the EU.
Trade: When a Trader resells products within the EU.
Domestic: When production and trade take place within a single EU country.
countryOfActivity: Country where the activity is taking place. We recommend using the Country Of Production attribute.
borderCrossCountry: Definition of the country where the item physically crosses the border into or out of the EU. For example, if a product is imported from Brazil to France but enters via Rotterdam in the Netherlands, BorderCrossCountry = NL (Netherlands). We recommend using a custom attribute.
comment: Optional comments for the competent authority. We recommend using a custom attribute.
volume: Volume of the product measured in M3 cubic meter. We recommend using a custom attribute.
supplementaryUnit: Additional measurement unit (if required). We recommend using a custom attribute.
supplementaryUnitQualifier: Qualifier for the supplementary unit. We recommend using a custom attribute.
For location:
For the location datamodel you need the following data attributes:
geoLocationConfidential: True/false statement (Boolean) indicating whether geolocation data is confidential. We recommend using the geoLocationConfidential attribute.
country: Country of production. We recommend using the Country Of Production attribute.
name: The name of the producer/supplier name. We recommend using a custom attribute.
geometryGeojson: Geolocation information in GeoJSON format. We recommend using the standard GPS Coordinates attribute, that automatically transform the coordinates to geojson on runtime.
