When submitting a Cash Credit approval for a location in a US Territory, you may get an error like this:
This is us because D&B is not accepting the State code. To bypass this:
In the request tab click "New Request" and choose Request Cash Credit Approval. It's important to note that we are only able to do cash deals in US territories. We are NOT able to do lease deals in the territories.
When the request comes up it's going to show the State listed is the territory you are selling from as this pulls from the requirements tab. It's very important that in this screen you change the GU for Guam (or other territory) to be one of the 50 US States and click continue.
In the next screen you will change the state BACK to the correct territory (GU for Guam) and this will correct the information being sent to the credit team and will update the information on your requirements tab. It's important that this screen is 100% accurate as this is what credit will review/verify for credit worthiness. Once updated back to the correct information click "Continue Request with Customer Information Above"
In the Notes for Credit Approval Team, add a note to confirm that the state information and click submit.
