Bid Funds are typically used to add revenue to a deal to offset a company expense. For example, if the company is running a promotion for a specific item, it may encourage the users to sell at a discount, which will result in less revenue and commission. Bid Funds can be used to offset this discount.
Go to your Proposal Request Page and Create a new Request
Select "Request Bid Fund Support"
Enter the dollar amount of your request, a reason, and click Submit
The request will automatically route to an authorized approver in your region for review.
The approver may confirm the amount (or enter a different amount) and approve the request.
Once approved, your expense page will show the bid fund amount as a negative value, offsetting the lower price and removing the impact on commission.
