Setting Up Back In Stock Alert Emails

Configure your signup confirmation and back in stock alert emails, including triggers and merge tags.

The Email tab controls when alerts are triggered and what those emails say.

When to send alerts Set the field "Once inventory is above or equal to" to define your trigger. The default is 1, meaning subscribers are emailed as soon as a single unit is back in stock. Raise this number if you want to wait until you have more meaningful stock on hand before alerting everyone.

Signup confirmation email Sent immediately after a shopper submits the popup, confirming they're on the list. You control:

  • Email subject

  • Email heading

  • Email body

All three fields support merge tags: {{product_title}}, {{product_url}}, and {{shop_name}}.

Back in stock alert email Sent once inventory crosses your threshold. Same fields (subject, heading, body) and same merge tag support, plus:

  • Button text: the call to action linking back to the product page, default "Shop now."

  • Button appearance: fonts, colors, and spacing.

Testing before you publish Use Send test email to send the live back in stock alert to any address you choose, so you can check formatting and merge tags before shoppers ever see it.

The Email preview panel on the right also shows a live rendering of both the signup confirmation and back in stock alert as you edit them.
