Set Up for Sending FACe Invoices

See which fields are required to send invoices via FACe or FACeB2B for Spain, including subsidiary, company, and Tax ID details.

If your organization sends invoices from a Spanish subsidiary, you can configure your Productive account to send e-invoices via FACe (to government clients) or FACeB2B (to commercial clients).

This guide covers the initial setup, including required subsidiary information, client details, and payment settings.

👉 Once everything is in place, you'll be able to send invoices through FACe.

Good to Know: Limitations by Plan

There is a monthly limit on the number of invoices you can send via FACe, based on your plan:

  • Essential Plan: 10 invoices

  • Professional Plan: 50 invoices

  • Ultimate Plan: 100 invoices

You'll see the transaction counter in Settings > Invoicing > E-Invoicing and when selecting Send to client > Send e-invoice.

📌 The limit is shared with Verifactu. Only successful submissions count, and an invoice sent via FACe and submitted to Verifactu in the same step counts once.

Prerequisites

Subsidiary country: E-invoicing is configured per subsidiary.

Only subsidiaries based in Spain can send invoices via FACe. Check your subsidiary in Settings > Company Info > Subsidiary.

Bank Account Settings

FACe requires a bank account on the subsidiary.

  • Go to Settings > Company Info > Bank Accounts.

  • Fill in the details and select Save Account.

📌 Under Settings > Company Info, select a subsidiary and pick a default bank account for it. This will prefill the Pay to information on invoices any time you bill from the selected subsidiary.

E-Invoicing Settings

To enable FACe e-invoicing:

  • Go to Settings > Invoicing > E-Invoicing

  • Select the appropriate Subsidiary

Enter the following fields:

  • Tax ID: Your subsidiary’s Spanish Tax ID (NIF, CIF, or NIE), including the ES prefix.

  • Street, City, ZIP/Postcode, and State/County. The State/County must be a Spanish province.

📌 Productive automatically sets the payment method to Credit Transfer when you enable FACe.

Click Finish Setup to save.

📌 This setup also turns on Verifactu, which registers invoices with the Spanish tax agency (AEAT). The first time you finish setup, Productive adds a Verifactu QR code area to your invoice templates. If you only use FACe, you can hide it. Learn more in Verifactu: The QR Code on Invoices.

Client Company (Invoice Recipient) Settings

To configure your client's details for FACe invoicing:

  1. Go to CRM > Companies.

  2. Select the relevant client company and add the following:

  • Full Company Name

  • Tax ID: The client’s Spanish Tax ID, including the ES prefix.

  • Address, with a Spanish province as the State.

📌 Recommended: Add the Subsidiary, Tax Rate, Payment Terms, and Invoice Template to the client profile to pre-fill this information when creating new invoices.

Under E-Invoicing Information, set the Client Type:

  • Commercial Client (FACeB2B): Add the DIRe Code (for example RE0009999).

  • Government Client (FACe): Add the DIR3 codes — Accounting Office, Management Body, and Processing Unit.

📌 These fields can also be filled in later, directly from the Send e-invoice modal when sending the invoice. Details in sending invoices via FACe.
