Pinboards FAQs

Frequently asked questions about Pinboards including troubleshooting and best practices.

Can I add text to my Pinboard presentations?

Yes! You can add text notes to your Pinboards with two display options:

Can I request approvals or feedback for Pinboards?

Not directly on the pinboard itself - approvals and comments on individual pinboard images aren't available yet, and client feedback tied to a Pinboard runs through the broader Client Dashboard instead.

If you need a client to formally approve or reject items, use a Presentation instead. Pin the live products from your schedule onto a presentation sheet, share it, and your client can approve or reject each pinned product right there - the decision flows straight back to your schedule automatically, just as if they'd approved it from the schedule itself.

Can I export my Pinboard as a PDF?

No. Pinboards use a responsive online layout optimized for desktops, tablets, and mobile devices; they're not designed for paginated PDF formats.

If you need a printable, PDF version of your concept - for a client, a contractor, or a physical handout - build it as a Presentation instead. Pin your images and products onto a presentation sheet and export straight to PDF, with options to include spec sheets and a QR code linking back to the live version.

Why are Pinterest images not importing to my Pinboard?

Import failures typically occur when your Pinterest board is set to private. Programa can only import from public Pinterest boards due to Pinterest's privacy policy. URL imports are also capped at 50 images per board - for larger boards, use the Web Clipper instead.

Here's how to fix it:

  1. Temporarily set your Pinterest board to public

  2. Import your images to Programa

  3. Return your Pinterest board to private

Can I add PDFs to my Pinboard?

No. Pinboards support these image formats only: .png, .jpg, .jpeg, .gif, .bmp, .webp, .heic, .avif, .tiff

  • Workaround: Convert your PDF to an image format or take a screenshot, then upload the image file to your Pinboard.

  • Alternative: Building in a Presentation instead? You can upload the PDF directly - a page picker lets you choose which pages to import, and each one converts to an image automatically, no external converter needed. Learn more

Can I duplicate my Pinboards?

Yes, you can duplicate your pinboards within the same project or add them to other projects.

To do this, click the three-dot icon in the top right corner of your pinboard page and select "Copy to." The same process applies to schedules.
