If you have recently deactivated your Project Casting account and can still see your profile, it's likely due to cached data stored by your browser. Cached data can cause your profile to appear publicly even after you've successfully deactivated it. This article will guide you through the steps to clear your cache, ensuring that the changes to your profile are reflected properly.
What Is Cached Data?
Cached data is information that your web browser stores to help pages load faster during subsequent visits. This means your browser might still be showing an older version of the page, including your Project Casting profile, even if it has been deactivated. Clearing the cache will force your browser to load the most up-to-date version of the page.
How to Clear Your Cache
Follow the steps below to clear your browser cache and ensure your profile is no longer visible:
For Google Chrome:
Click on the three dots in the top-right corner of the browser window.
Go to More Tools > Clear Browsing Data.
Select Cached images and files and set the Time range to "All time".
Click Clear data.
For Firefox:
Click on the menu button (three horizontal lines) in the top-right corner.
Go to Settings > Privacy & Security.
Scroll down to Cookies and Site Data and click Clear Data.
Make sure Cached Web Content is checked, then click Clear.
For Safari (Mac):
Click Safari in the top menu and select Preferences.
Go to the Privacy tab and click on Manage Website Data.
Click Remove All to clear cached content.
For Microsoft Edge:
Click on the three dots in the top-right corner of the browser window.
Go to Settings > Privacy, search, and services.
Under Clear browsing data, click Choose what to clear.
Select Cached images and files and click Clear now.
After Clearing the Cache
Once you have cleared your cache, reload the Project Casting website to confirm that your profile is no longer visible. If you still see your profile after clearing the cache, it may take some time for the changes to be fully updated across all devices.
