How to Edit or Close a Job Listing on Project Casting

Below is a step-by-step guide on how to edit or close a job listing directly from your Project Casting account.

Updated over a week ago

Step 1: Go to the “Jobs” Section

After logging into your account, navigate to the Jobs section using the left-hand menu.

This page displays a list of all your Active and Expired job listings. Each listing shows key details such as:

  • Job title

  • Number of applicants

  • Creation date

  • Expiration date

  • Current status (e.g., Published)

Step 2: Choose the Job You Want to Manage

Under the Active Jobs tab, locate the job you wish to update. You will see a row containing the job title, the number of applicants, and other key data.

To the far right of each job row, click the three-dot menu (⋮) to open job management options.

Step 3: Edit the Job Listing

After clicking the three-dot menu, select Edit. This will take you to the job editing interface where you can update:

  • Job title

  • Production type

  • Payment details

  • Required skills

  • Job description

  • Media (e.g., poster or banner image)

  • Application instructions

  • Expiration date

Once you’ve made the necessary changes, be sure to click Update or Save to apply them.

Step 4: Close or Unpublish a Job Listing

If your position has been filled or you want to stop receiving applications before the original expiration date, you have a few options to remove the listing from public view:

  1. Click the three-dot menu next to the job listing you want to remove.

  2. From the menu, select one of the following actions:

    • View or Edit the listing to make changes

    • Move to Draft to temporarily unpublish the job

    • Change the Expiration Date to a past date to immediately expire the listing

  3. Confirm the action if prompted.

Once unpublished or expired, the job will move to the Expired Jobs tab. You will still be able to view applicant data, but the job will no longer appear to new candidates browsing the platform.

Best Practices for Managing Job Listings

  • Keep Information Up to Date: Update your listing promptly if there are changes to role requirements, project details, or deadlines.

  • Unpublish When Casting Is Complete: Remove listings once positions are filled to avoid confusion and unnecessary applications.

  • Monitor Applicant Activity: Check the applicant count and review submissions regularly to stay on top of interest and progress.
