What Information will we need from the Guarantor?

As a guarantor, you play a crucial role in helping a prospective tenant secure a rental agreement. Your guarantee gives the landlord the assurance that if the tenant can't fulfil their obligations, you will step in and cover the costs.

In order to make this guarantee, we will need some information from you. Here's what we will ask for:

Contact Details

First and foremost, we will need your contact details. This includes your full name, phone number, and email address. We may also ask for your postal address if it is different from the tenant's address. This information is important for us to keep in touch with you and reach out in case of any issues.

Income and Employment Details

We will also ask for your income and employment details. This helps us determine your financial stability and ability to meet your obligations in the event the tenant is unable to do so. We may ask for recent pay slips, bank statements, or a letter from your employer to verify your income and employment status.

Address History

To conduct a credit check, we will need your address history. This includes your current address and any previous addresses you have lived at in the past few years. This information helps us verify your identity and assess your creditworthiness.

National Insurance Number

Your national insurance number is a unique identifier that is used to track your tax and national insurance contributions in the UK. We will need this information to verify your identity and conduct a credit check.

Personal Details

We will also ask for some personal details such as your date of birth. This information is used to verify your identity and ensure that you are legally able to make a guarantee.

Credit Overview

Lastly, we will ask for an overview of your credit history. This includes any adverse credit such as missed payments, defaults, or bankruptcies. This information helps us assess your financial stability and ability to fulfil your guarantee.

Providing this information will allow us to make an informed decision about your guarantee. Rest assured that all of your information will be kept confidential and only be used to assess your guarantee. Thank you for your cooperation and for helping someone secure their tenancy.
