Artists at Proton get paid more often than artists at non-Proton labels, because your balance combines earnings across nearly 2000 labels.

Proton sends payments on a quarterly basis to all our artists and label managers. Learn more about our payment schedule here.

Per our contract, artists & labels get emailed a royalty statement when the balance reaches $100 or more. If you haven't yet reached the $100 threshold yet, statements will still be available in SoundSystem every quarter.

At Proton your earnings balance includes ALL your combined earnings across ALL your releases on ALL labels powered by Proton. And if you're both an artist and label manager, then your balance is all your earnings combined! In this way, your balance reaches $100 faster than waiting for each individual release to reach $100.

Because of this, artists at Proton often get paid MUCH more frequently and reliably than releases at non-Proton labels. That's because at other labels, your balance includes only your earnings at that individual label -- not the combined earnings across Proton's nearly 2000 music labels!

For example: If an artist reaches $50 on 1 release, and $50 on a different release, then they get paid the next quarter: it doesn't require each release to reach $100 in earnings. And if you're a label manager, you reach $100 even faster.

If you haven't already, make sure to add your PayPal info here -- that way your payment will get sent automatically when you reach $100!
