Before 2021, Beatport would update their store with new banners & featured releases on Monday. In March 2021, they changed this to Friday.
Beatport has the most sales on Friday & Saturday, so their change to Friday helps make sure the store is "a fresh as possible" for shoppers during the busiest time.
Because Beatport used to update on Mondays, many electronic music labels schedule their releases for Monday release dates. Going forward, Proton strongly recommends changing your release dates to Friday instead.
My release isn't scheduled for a Friday. Can I change it?
Yes! If your music label is powered by Proton, and you want to update the release date to Friday, learn how to easily do that yourself here.
My music is released on a day other than Friday.
When will it be considered for a feature on Beatport?
If your music is scheduled for release on another day other than Friday, then your release will be considered for a feature on the Friday of the week it is released.
