Did you upload the wrong file, spell something wrong, or need to change the release date? At Proton you can quickly and easily fix a release automatically yourself. Here's how:
After your release has finished shipping, look for the "Edit/Fix" button.
Click "Edit/Fix", then make any changes you need to your release, like this:
This will allow you to fix Cover Art, WAV files, track titles, the name of your release, and the description of your release. You can also edit the release date and the pre-order date, too!
If you see SHIPPING instead of EDIT/FIX next to your release, then check back tomorrow: your release is still shipping to stores and cannot be edited yet.
When you're done making your changes, click "Submit Corrections" at the top. Your changes will get submitted to all platforms automatically within 2-3 business days.
IMPORTANT - Certain kinds of fixes are NOT fixable yourself...
Artist Name - If you made a mistake with an artist name, contact us.
Forgotten Track - If you forgot to add a track to your release, check this guide.
Tracklist Order - Stores do NOT support re-ordering your tracks. If you absolutely must re-order the tracks on your release, then you need to first TAKEDOWN your old release, then re-create that release using the Compilation Tool.
Genres - Beatport does NOT support genre changes. If you need to make a change to the genre on your track, contact us for help.
Catalog # - You're not able to edit the catalog # on your release because it affects calculation of royalties. If your release has NOT gone on sale yet, then you can still change your catalog # by asking us for help.
Track or Release Takedown - Need help removing the entire release or a track? Contact us for help.
When contacting us for help with your release, please include your Label Name, Catalog Number, and Release Title so we can help you as quickly as possible.
