TRAC: Filtering by Authors

Updated yesterday

Learning Outcomes

  • Learn more about filtering your search based on Authors.

There will be occasions when you'll want to refine your TRAC search for particular authors or communities. This is where the Authors section of the filter will be massively beneficial!

Single Authors

The Single Authors filter allows you to focus on individual users who are contributing to the conversation in your search. All that you need to do is enter the handle of the user, as demonstrated below.

πŸ“ Note: When adding users to the Single Authors filter, please ensure that you exclude the '@' before the handle.

Communities

The Communities filters is the section where you can further leverage the integrations we have with Audiense and StatSocial. Any Communities that are created whenever you run an Audiense or StatSocial report are automatically saved as author filters, that can be superimposed across your entire search, allowing you to further understand what each community discusses within a givem topic. This feature is illustrated below.Β

πŸ’‘ Top Tip: You can use the Communities filter in order to construct charts within Custom Dashboards. An example of this is a share of voice chart comparing all of the communities that have been identified within your search.
