Custom Sort Types allow you to swiftly sort your collections by creating your own personalized sort types. You can establish custom sort types to arrange products in a specific order. For those seeking a more comprehensive sorting option, Advanced Custom Sort is the ideal choice. With Advanced Custom Sort, you can utilize various analytics parameters and determine how the system prioritizes filters based on their respective weights.

Creating Custom Sort Types

Once you have decided on the name of your custom sort type, you have 3 options for what custom sort type you'll create:

If you want a complete guide on creating a custom sort type, jump to this article.

a. Basic - This custom sort type lets you choose the basic sorting types in the system. You can add up to 3 unique sorting types using the Add another sort type button.

b. Basic (particular order) - This next custom sort type lets you add categories based on the arrangement or pattern you created. You can drag a tile to arrange how your products will be sorted.

c. Advanced - This custom sort type lets you combine up to 10 types. Each can be given different Weights to set how your products will be sorted.

Note: If you selected Product tag A-A / Z-A as your sort type, you could type in a text that will be used to find specific product tags. Only the products with tags will be sorted, and the rest will be pushed down to the bottom.

Once done, click Save.

Viewing Custom Sort Types

Once you have created your new custom sort type, it will be listed in the Custom Sort Type. From here, you will see all the different custom sort type details, such as the title itself, type, date of update, etc.

Using Your Custom Sort Types

Now that you have successfully created your custom sort type, you can use them from the Collections Detail and View Collections sections in the Main Menu.
