Unable to receive Password reset email for a user in PSA.

QUESTION:

When trying to reset an email password for a user, emails are not sent and

there is no Email in Logs under Admin > Logs > Outbound Email Logs

ANSWER:

Check if the user has any External Authentication Type like Authenticator or SSO or MFA enabled in HR > Employees.

When you turn on 2FA or choose any Authenticator type for PSA, reset password will not send an email out to the user because they can not use this password anywhere in PSA.
