Follow our guide to effortlessly download and install the PureVPN app on your Android device and experience the ultimate VPN solution. Get started with PureVPN now and enjoy a secure digital experience.
To begin, locate and open the Play Store app on your Android device.
In the search bar of the Play Store, enter "PureVPN" and select the first result from the list that appears.
Tap Install once you find it.
The PureVPN app has been successfully installed.
Login PureVPN app
Launch PureVPN app.
Tap Have an account? Login.
You will be redirected to your default browser for login.
Enter your PureVPN email and password (Use the email and password you set up during the purchase).
After entering the account details, tap Submit.
Once you tap Submit, the PureVPN app will automatically pop-up and you will be logged in to the app.
Note: If you have multiple accounts then you will be asked to select your PureVPN username.
Choose a purpose that best suits your VPN needs.
Once done, you will be logged in to the PureVPN app.
Logout PureVPN app
Tap the Hamburger icon (≡) from the top left.
Tap Account Details.
Tap Logout.
Tap Logout to proceed.
Your default browser will be automatically launched and you will get a confirmation message that you have been successfully logged out from the PureVPN app.
Check subscription details on PureVPN app
Looking for a way to see your subscription details on PureVPN application? Follow the instructions below to be able to see your subscription details in PureVPN application.

Tap Account Details.

Connect via recommended server/location
Wondering what is the recommended server?
Well, the recommended server will automatically connect you to a country/ server proposed by our smart algorithm (based on geographical distance). Read more about how PureVPN smart algorithm works.
How to get connected with the recommended location/server? Follow the instructions below 👇
Tap Connect icon at the center.
Once your connection is established successfully, you will notice the connected status. To disconnect, simply tap the centrally located purple button within the PureVPN app.
Connect with your preferred country

Sort countries alphabetically, by ping or popularity
Tired of scrolling up and down to search for a location? Want a simplified way to sort the locations? Follow the instructions below 👇

To sort locations alphabetically or by ping, or popularity, tap the Sorting icon from the top.
You will now see the options to sort them.
To sort countries Popularity, tap Sort by Popularity.
Countries are now sorted in Popularity order.
To sort countries alphabetically, tap Sort by Alphabetically.
Countries are now sorted in Alphabetical order.
To sort countries by Ping, tap Sort by Ping.
Countries are now sorted by Ping.
Filter P2P supported countries
Finding it difficult to see which servers are best to use for torrenting? These steps will make your life easier. Filter out the P2P supported countries by following the instructions below 👇

To filter locations by P2P, tap the funnel icon from the top right.
Mark check ☑️ P2P supported and tap Okay.
Locations are now filtered by P2P supported countries.
Access popular website via shortcut
Exciting news! In the latest update of our Android phone/tablet application, we have introduced a Shortcut option that enables users to directly access their favorite streaming applications.
Are you thrilled about this feature? To begin enjoying its benefits, follow the simple instructions below:
Tap Hamburger icon (≡) from the top left.
Tap Locations 🌐
Tap + icon to add a Shortcut.
A list of popular streaming channel will appear. Look for your desired streaming channel and add it. (In this example we have used Netflix).
Now you'll be asked to select location. As Netflix is a regional based content so you can choose different locations that is supported by PureVPN. (In this example we have used United States as a location).
Lastly, PureVPN will by default suggest a name for the shortcut. If you would like to change it you can certainly change it and rename it.
Once done tap Add Shortcut.
You will now be able to see the newly added shortcut in the location list.
To add more shortcut tap + icon again and repeat the above procedure.
To connect, you may simply tap the newly created shortcut and it will start connecting.
You are now connected to the newly created shortcut.
After a few seconds, the selected streaming website will open up in your default browser. You may simply login to the streaming website and access it.
Create shortcut for custom website
Tap Hamburger icon (≡) from the top left.
Tap Locations 🌐
Tap + icon to add a Shortcut.
To add a custom URL simply type the URL in the search box.
In this case we have taken google as an example. You can enter any of your desired website.
Tap Add Shortcut.
Now you'll be asked to select location. Make sure to choose such location in which your desired website is accessible.
Example: BBC iPlayer can be accessible in UK only so to access BBC iPlayer one should only select UK as location.
PureVPN will by default suggest a name for the shortcut. If you would like to change it you can certainly change it and rename it.
Once done tap Add Shortcut.
For making your experience better with our application we'll ask if you allow PureVPN to save your shortcut preferences. You can choose Yes/No depending upon your preference.
You will now be able to see the newly added shortcut in the location list.
To add more shortcut tap + icon again and repeat the above procedure.
To connect, you may simply tap the newly created shortcut and it will start connecting.
You are now connected to the newly created shortcut.
After a few seconds, the selected website will open up in your default browser.
Mark location as Favorite
Tap Hamburger icon (≡) from the top left.
Tap the Star ⭐ icon provided besides locations.
Location has been marked as favorite successfully.
Connect with Dedicated IP
Tap Hamburger icon (≡) from the top left.
Tap Locations 🌐
Tap the Dedicated IP option to connect.
You are now Connected successfully with your Dedicated IP Add-on.
In case you’re already connected to your dedicated IP on another device, you’ll be prompted accordingly to continue as per choice.
Connect with Dedicated Server
Tap Hamburger icon (≡) from the top left.
Tap Locations 🌐
Tap the Dedicated Server option to connect.
You are now Connected successfully with your Dedicated Server.
Rate your session

Connect using the Recommended server option or a Desired location of your choice.
Upon successful connection, you’ll see Thumbs up and Thumbs down icons to rate your session.
When you give a Thumbs up, you will see the following screen.
When you give a Thumbs down, you’ll be asked to choose a category and leave comments. As soon as you fill it, a support ticket will open.
Manage General Settings - PureVPN Android App
Select application language

Tap Settings.
In the General settings tab, you will be able to see the Language option.
Choose your desired language from the list and your language will be changed.
A pop-up will appear asking to confirm the language change. tap OK to proceed.
PureVPN app will restart and launch into your chosen language.
Select theme

Press the arrow icon > to change the Theme.
Tap theme and select your preferred theme option from the list.
Congratulations! You have successfully changed the theme of PureVPN.
Enable Always-On VPN
With PureVPN's Always-On VPN feature, users can establish an automatic VPN connection whenever any internet activity is performed. This ensures that you stay connected to the VPN at all times, guaranteeing that no traffic is transmitted through your public IP. Enjoy uninterrupted privacy and security as PureVPN keeps you protected throughout your online sessions. Enable Always-On VPN and stay secure with every internet activity you perform.

Tap Settings.
In the General settings tab, you will be able to see the Always-on VPN option.
Tap Always-on option and a pop-up will appear asking you to confirm.
Tap Open Android Settings to proceed.
Tap PureVPN app icon.
Toggle Always-on VPN. Once you enable Always-on, then the VPN will be automatically connected.
Always-on VPN has been successfully turned on.
Toggle Block connections without VPN. You won't have an internet connection until the VPN successfully connects.
Personalize server selection
PureVPN introduces the Personalize server selection feature, enhancing user experience and connectivity. This feature automatically connects you to servers that have provided you with a good overall VPN connection experience in the past. To enable Personalized server selection, follow the simple instructions below and enjoy a seamless and optimized VPN connection.

Toggle Personalize server selection to turn it on.
Clear my preferences
If you wish to revert the PureVPN app to its default settings, we've got you covered. Follow the instructions below to restore the app to its original configuration.

Tap Settings.
In the General settings tab, you will be able to see the Clear my preferences option.
Tap Clear my preferences option and a pop-up will appear asking you to confirm. Tap OK to proceed.
Congratulations! Your app preferences have been successfully cleared.
How to Switch Protocol - PureVPN Android app
Note: To switch between protocols in the PureVPN app, you will need to disconnect the current VPN connection. Once disconnected, you can view the available VPN protocols by disabling the Automatic Protocol Selection option. This allows you to manually select and switch to your desired protocol for a customized VPN experience.
Protocol Guide:
Wireguard: (Recommended)
Wireguard provides a fast and secure VPN connection and it’s usually used for web browsing and streaming.
UDP:
UDP is mainly used for streaming and downloading. It provides a fast VPN connection with medium encryption.
TCP:
TCP is more reliable, but also a little slower, and is usually used for web browsing.
IKEv2:
IKEv2 is one of the fastest VPN protocols that provides stable connection and is usually used for streaming and downloading.
Proxy:
Proxy provides the fastest VPN connection but it does not offer encryption. If you are looking to browse the internet with fast speed then proxy might be the best option you should use.

Tap Connection Protocol.
Turn off Automatic protocol selection to change your protocol selection, A warning will appear, tap Reconnect to continue.
Choose the Protocol of your choice from the list.
Note: PureVPN now offers Automatic Port Selection, a feature that intelligently selects the best port to route your connection over the internet. Enjoy optimized performance and seamless browsing. However, if you prefer to route your traffic through a specific port, you have the flexibility to toggle off the automatic port option. Take control of your connection routing with PureVPN's advanced features.
Tap Port and a pop-up will appear asking you to enter the desired port. Port range (5500 - 30000).
Upon selection, your protocol will be successfully changed
Once done, go back to the Locations tab and connect with your desired location.
Upon successful connection you can see the selected protocol in the Connection details.
Activate Split Tunneling - PureVPN Android app

Tap Settings.
Tap Advanced tab.
In the advanced settings tab, you will be able to see the Split Tunneling option.
Tap the Split Tunneling option. By default, all apps are set to use the VPN.
If you prefer to run specific apps through the VPN IP and the rest of the apps through your ISP IP, select the option "Allow only selected apps to use VPN" in the Split Tunneling settings.
If you wish to exclude specific apps from using the VPN IP, select the option "Do not allow selected apps to use VPN" in the Split Tunneling settings. This configuration ensures that the chosen apps will not route their traffic through the VPN, providing you with flexibility and control over your VPN usage.
