How to setup IPsec on iOS

Follow the instructions on how to set up an IPsec VPN connection on iOS (iPhone and iPad) with PureVPN.

Find your VPN credentials for manual configuration

To find your VPN credentials log into the PureVPN members area. Click 👉 here to visit member area.

  • Login to the member area using your PureVPN registered email address and password.

  • From manage account section, go to the subscriptions tab.

  • On Subscription tab scroll down to be able to view your VPN credentials.

  • You will be able to see and copy your VPN credentials. Note down your PureVPN username and click the eye icon to make your password visible and use it in the manual configuration.

The following guide will help you setup IPSec on your iOS device so you can enjoy complete internet freedom & security.

  • Tap Settings.

  • Tap General.

  • Tap VPN.

  • Tap Add a new VPN configuration.

  • Tap Type and select IPsec as your protocol selection.

  • Insert the following details:

  1. Description: PureVPN IPSec

  2. Server: Click here to enter your desired server address.

  3. Enter your PureVPN credentials. Here is how you can find your VPN credentials.

  4. Use Certificate: OFF

  5. Group Name: Leave it blank

  6. Secret: 12345678

  7. Proxy: OFF

  • After you’ve entered all the details, tap Done from the top right corner of your screen.

  • You’ll see the profile created under General.

  • Toggle the Status to turn ON your VPN connection.

  • You are now connected to PureVPN IPsec protocol.
