Free Sharps Disposal for EBGLYSS™ Patients

Overview

If you're prescribed EBGLYSS™, you may be using injectable pens or prefilled syringes at home. Proper disposal of used sharps is crucial for your safety and that of others.

To assist, Eli Lilly offers free sharps disposal containers to eligible patients. These containers are FDA-cleared and designed to safely hold used EBGLYSS pens or syringes. Once full, follow your local guidelines for proper disposal.(pi.lilly.com, startlilly.com)

Who Is Eligible?

This sharps disposal service is available to:

  • Patients prescribed EBGLYSS™ who administer injections at home.

⚠️ Not for Use by Healthcare or Veterinary Facilities
This free service is strictly for individual patients. It is not available to:

  • Doctors' offices

  • Hospitals

  • Nursing homes

  • Pharmacies

  • Home healthcare agencies

  • Veterinary facilities(startlilly.com)

Facilities that generate medical waste must use licensed commercial disposal services.


How to Request Your Free Sharps Disposal Container

To request your free disposal container:

  1. Call: Eli Lilly Support Services at 1-800-LillyRx (1-800-545-5979), available Monday to Friday between 8 am and 10 pm ET.

  2. Online: Visit www.ebglyss.lilly.com and follow the instructions to enroll in the support program.(startlilly.com, startlilly.com)

During the enrollment process, select “Sharps Disposal Container” to receive your free container.(startlilly.com)


Proper Disposal Guidelines

  • After using your EBGLYSS pen or syringe, place it immediately into the provided sharps disposal container.

  • Do not throw used sharps in household trash or recycling bins.

  • When the container is nearly full, follow your local community guidelines for disposal.
