Program Overview
Eli Lilly provides limited support for sharps disposal. Currently, only Taltz® (ixekizumab) qualifies for a free sharps mail-back container through Eli Lilly’s official patient support program. For all other injectable medications (e.g., Trulicity®, Emgality®, Mounjaro®, Zepbound™), patients are responsible for obtaining their own FDA-cleared sharps disposal container.

Confirm you are prescribed Taltz®
Provide your name, address, and basic prescription information
A free sharps container and prepaid mail-back kit will be mailed to you
For Patients Using Trulicity®, Emgality®, Mounjaro®, or Zepbound™
These medications do not qualify for Lilly’s free disposal program.
🔄 How to Obtain a Sharps Container
Patients must order an FDA-cleared sharps container through an authorized supplier. We recommend:

Compliance labels and return shipping included
Proper Disposal Guidelines
Never place used needles or syringes in household trash or recycling.
Use only puncture-resistant, FDA-cleared sharps containers.
Dispose of full containers using mail-back programs or through authorized local drop-off sites.
