The Library in Pyn 2 is your central workspace for managing, customizing, and organizing all communication assets. It is split into two main sections:
Content Library: Pre-built templates, custom messages, and copy.
Media Library: Images, GIFs, and visual assets used across your messages.

Accessing the Library
Log into Pyn.
From the left navigation menu, click Library.
You will see two main categories in the sidebar/sub-navigation:
Content
Media
Filtering Content in the Library
To narrow down the templates in the Content Library by specific employee lifecycle stages or topics, use the Filters menu:
In the top-right corner of the content gallery, click or hover over Filters.
Hover over Moment in the dropdown menu. A secondary list of available categories will slide out.
Select the category or moment you wish to view (e.g., Pre-onboarding, First day, Anniversary, Become a manager, High PTO accrual).
Search within filters: Use the Search input at the top of the flyout menu to quickly locate a specific category name.
Resetting filters: Click Clear All to remove your selections, or click Show Everything to restore the full template catalog.
Alternatively, you could also use the Find feature in the main screen to immediately search for a template you want to use.
Using the Content Library

The Content Library houses all message templates—both the pre-built, best-practice templates provided by Pyn and any custom content created by your team.
1. Browsing and Selecting Templates
Click Content under the Library section.
Browse the available list of message templates or use the search bar to locate specific topics (e.g., Onboarding check-ins, Manager reminders, Milestone celebrations).
Click on any template to open its editor.
2. Editing Content
Once inside the editor, you can customize:
Title / Subject Line
Body Copy
Variables & Placeholders (e.g., employee names, dates)
Visual Assets
Review your changes directly in the live editor view.
3. Publishing Your Changes
When you are satisfied with your edits, click Publish in the upper-right corner.
The updated version is saved immediately and will be reflected anywhere this content item is active across your flows.
If you wish to discard your draft, click on the dropdown in the Publish button and a Discard option will appear.
Managing Version History & Restoring Previous Drafts
If you make changes that you want to revert or review, Pyn automatically tracks your edit history:
Open the content item you wish to inspect.
Click the Save / History icon located in the middle-right corner of the editor.
A list of previously saved versions will appear, showing timestamps and authors.
Click on any historical version from the list to preview how the content looked at that point in time.
To revert to that draft, click the Restore button in the upper-right corner of the preview panel.
The restored copy will load back into your active editor.
Managing Categories and Archiving Content
Open the content item you want to modify.
Click the Save / History icon located in the middle-right corner of the editor
In the top-right corner, beside the history icon click the button beside it
Change the Category (Moment): Click the Moment dropdown to display the full list of available categories, then select the new category you want this content to belong to.
Archive Content: If you no longer want this template to appear in your active library, click the blue Archive button below the dropdown menu.
Using Library Content in Messages & Flows
You can link any pre-built or custom Library content directly into your automated flows and messages using the Widgets tool.
Open the Flow Step Editor
Navigate to Flows in the left sidebar and select an existing automation (or create a new flow).
Click on the specific step (e.g., Send Direct Message or Send Email) to open the editor panel on the right.
Access the Widgets Menu
In the message body toolbar, locate the puzzle icon (Widgets).
From the dropdown menu, select Link To Library Content.
Select Your Content
A pop-up dialog box will appear.
Under the Library Content field, scroll through the list or type in the search bar to find the specific template or guide (e.g., National Day (China) or your custom buddy guide).
Customize the Button Appearance & Tracking
Label: Enter the text you want displayed on the button (e.g., "Sample", "Read More", or "Click Here").
Button Style: Choose how the button is styled from the dropdown (defaults to Default).
Track Action: Check this box to track recipient clicks and actions in your analytics.
Insert and Publish
Click Save in the dialog box. The configured button will immediately render directly inside the body of your message.
Click Publish in the top-right corner to save and apply the changes across your flow.
Using the Media Library in Messages and Flows
You can insert visual assets directly into your message body using images stored in your Pyn 2 Media Library or by uploading from your device.
Access the Media Selector
In the rich text formatting toolbar below the message body, click the picture icon (Insert images and media).
Choose Your Image Source
A media selection modal will appear with two tabs:
Local: Click Upload from your computer to add a new file from your device.
From Library: View and select from images and media previously uploaded to your workspace Media Library.
Insert and Format
Select the image you wish to use to insert it directly into the body copy.
Adjust alignment (left, center, or right) or resize as needed.
Click Publish in the upper-right corner to save and deploy the changes across your flow.
