How to Test Latency on Your QuantVPS

Test and verify your QuantVPS latency to Rithmic, Polymarket, Tradovate, and IBKR. Learn how our Chicago-based servers deliver 0–1 ms execution speed for algorithmic traders.

How to Test Your Latency

Step 1 — Open Command Prompt

  1. Click Start

  2. Type cmd

  3. Click Command Prompt

Step 2 — Run Ping Tests

Copy and paste each command below into the Command Prompt and press Enter:

💡 Tip: Run each test for ~10–15 seconds for a stable average.

Step 3 — Read the Results

After running each ping, you’ll see output like this:

Focus on this value:

Your latency to that provider

0–1 ms

Excellent (Chicago optimized)

1–5 ms

10–30 ms

Expected for international routing (Dublin)

Step 4 — Stop the Test

Press Ctrl + C to stop the ping and view a summary:

  • Average = your true latency

  • Packet loss = should be 0%
