How to Reinstall Your VPS

If you need to start fresh—whether switching from Linux to Windows, upgrading your OS version, or resolving issues—you can reinstall your VPS directly from the control panel.

⚠️ Warning: Reinstalling your VPS will erase everything on it, including all files, programs, and settings. After the reinstall, you’ll receive a new administrator (Windows) or root (Linux) password by email. This action is permanent and cannot be undone.

Available Operating Systems

When reinstalling, you can choose from:

Windows Server

  • Windows Server 2019

  • Windows Server 2022

  • Windows Server 2025

Ubuntu Linux

  • Ubuntu 20.04 LTS

  • Ubuntu 22.04 LTS

  • Ubuntu 24.04 LTS

Step-by-Step Reinstall Guide

  1. Log in to the VPS Dashboard

    Go to https://www.quantvps.com/login and log in with your account.

  2. Navigate to Your VPS

    From the dashboard, click on the VPS/server you want to reinstall.

  3. Open the Control Panel

    Once inside your server’s page, select the Control Panel option.

  4. Scroll to the Reinstall Section

    • Scroll below the Credentials section under Server Manager.

    • Locate the Reinstall Operating System panel (as shown in the screenshot).

  5. Select a New Operating System

    • Use the dropdown menu to choose Windows Server (2019, 2022, or 2025) or Ubuntu (20.04, 22.04, or 24.04).

  6. Confirm the Reinstall

    • Click Reinstall.

    • A warning will remind you this action is not reversible.

    • Confirm to proceed.

  7. Wait for Provisioning

    • The reinstall process usually takes 5–15 minutes.

    • Once finished, your VPS will be reset to the selected OS.

  8. Receive New Credentials

    • You’ll receive an email with your new login details:

      • Windows: Administrator username and new password.

      • Ubuntu: Root username and new password.
