Learn how to approve earnings in QuotaPath

Updated over 5 months ago

To approve earnings as part of the approvals step in the commissions payout process, go the Approvals page in the left hand navigation. From there, either go to the Inbox tab or to the tab that corresponds to the step in which you are the approver.

Only Admins can manage the approvals workflow from Preferences in Settings. To learn how to create a custom approval workflow, please visit this article.

If you are not apart of the approvals workflow, you can view a summary summary of the approval status of your earnings in Inbox. For a detailed overview of the Approvals page, please visit this article.

There are two ways in which you can approve earnings: by member or by deal. To learn more, continue reading below.

Approve by Member

To approve earnings by member, use the toggle at the top of the screen to view data by member:

Before you start approving, check your filters to ensure you've filtered for the correct date range, plans and filters. From there, you can click in the button in the top right to approve earnings for all members in your current view:

In addition, you can select specific members to approve or approve earnings for a single member:

As members' earnings data is approved, it will progress to the next step in the approval process and be removed from your current view of outstanding approvals.

Approve by Deal

To approve earnings by member, use the toggle at the top of the screen to view data by deals.

Before you start approving, check your filters to ensure you've filtered for the correct date range, plans and filters. From there, you can click in the button in the top right to approve earnings for all deals in your current view:

In addition, you can select specific deals to approve or approve earnings for a single deal:

You can also click the name of a deal to go to the deal details card. From here, you can view additional details of the deal, override earnings, flag the deal, and approve:

As members' earnings data is approved, it will progress to the next step in the approval process and be removed from your current view of outstanding approvals on the Approvals page.
