Searching for Deals in QuotaPath

Learn how to find deals and source records using search terms and operators.

To quickly find deals, use the search bar at the top of your QuotaPath workspace.

  1. Click into the search bar at the top of your workspace.

  2. Enter at least three characters from the deal name, record name, or record ID.

  3. Review the results displayed while you type.

  4. Select a result to open its details.

  5. Press Enter or select View All search results to see the complete list.

Search permissions by Role

Admins can search for all deals and source records. Team Managers with 'Full' permissions can search for deals in their plan or their team's plans. Members can search only for their own deals. Team Managers and Members do not have the ability to search source records or to view the source record details page as Admins do.

Source Record vs Deal

You can also search by record name or ID to find mapped or unmapped records, view the Source Record page to see the exact records QuotaPath ingested from your data source, and analyze mappings to understand why a record isn't successfully mapping to a specific component. For more information on the Source Record page, view this article.

When searching in QuotaPath, clicking on the pill-shaped Deals bubble returns any results where a source record has successfully mapped to a component and created a Deal record in QuotaPath.

If a source record has been pulled into QuotaPath but did not successfully map to any component, there will be no Deal result for that record. When searching, you'd instead need to click on the source records bubble and view the source record details page to analyze the mapping.

Just because there are no results when searching deals does not mean that the deal record itself has not been pulled in by QuotaPath. It is likely that we have pulled in the source record, but that the source record did not meet the mapping criteria you expected it to.

Search Operators

Search operators allow you to filter your search results based on deal attributes like whether the deal is approved, has a discrepancy, or has a flag.

The deal search operators that can be typed into the search bar are:

Operator

Returns

has:override

Deals with a deal-value or earnings override

is:approved

Approved deals

has:flag

Deals with any flag

has:open-flag

Deals with an unresolved flag

has:discrepancy

Deals with a discrepancy

-has:override

Deals without an override

-is:approved

Unapproved deals

-has:flag

Deals without a flag

-has:open-flag

Deals without an open flag

-has:discrepancy

Deals without a discrepancy

Multiple operators and search terms work together, so results must match every condition entered. Here are a few examples:

"-has:flag has:override Global"

"is:approved has:flag Partnership"

Search tab on Deals page

After completing your search and opting to view your search results, a new 'Search' tab will open on the Deals page. From here, you can use the filters on the Deals page to further refine your search results, click to view the details for a deal, or manage the deals, including editing, approving, overriding, etc.

Troubleshooting: Not finding a record via Search?

  • Enter at least three characters.

  • Search using the source record ID.

  • Confirm your role has access to the deal.

  • Search for the Source Record to determine whether it was imported.

  • Lastly, trying using the Source Data viewer to locate the record. Go to the Integrations page, click Manage on the relevant data source card, then go to the Source Data tab. Choose the applicable object in the dropdown and filter the table for your desired record using the column header and the triangle line icon.

  • If the record is not visible when searching in the header or when filtering in the source data viewer, that is a signal that the record has not actually made its way into QuotaPath. This could be due to the record being new and not yet synced in, or the record being in some sort of state, like deleted or archived, in your data source that would keep QuotaPath from syncing it.
