Overview of the Plans page and the lifecycle of a comp plan

In QuotaPath, the first step in setting up your workspace and automating your commission process is to create a compensation plan. A comp plan can be created and managed from the Plans page by clicking 'Plans' in the left hand navigation.

Compensation Plan Lifecycle

The Plans page is organized to align to the three states of a compensation plan: Draft, Active, and Archived. These states align to the lifecycle stages of the compensation planning process from comp plan design and modeling, to on-going measurement and optimization.

QuotaPath Compensation Plan Lifecycle:

  1. Draft

  2. Active

  3. Archived

When a plan is initially created, it will automatically be put into a Draft state, where only Admins can view and edit the plan. This allows Admins to design, build and model the plan before plan assignees are able to view the plan.

When a plan is ready to be rolled out, an Admin can publish the plan. At the time of publishing a plan, an Admin can also request plan verification, which will prompt users to review and sign off on the plan. Once a plan is published, it enters an Active state, where Members, Team Managers and Admins can all view the plan. Admins will be able to continue to edit the plan.

When a plan is no longer in use, Admins can change the plan to an Archived state. All users will be able to continue to view the plan, but Admins will no longer be able to edit the plan. To learn more about archiving a plan. please visit this article.

Plans Page Overview

The Plans page is organized into the following views to allow for easy navigation of plans in various states:

  • My Plans: Member view of plans that are in an Active or Archived state.

  • Active Plans: Admin view of plans that are in an Active state.

  • Draft Plans: Admin view of plans that are in a Draft state.

  • Archived Plans: Admin view of plans that are in an Archived state.

  • Members: Admin view of all workspace members and assigned plans.

My Plans

Whether you are a Member, Team Manager, or Admin, you can click the 'My Plans' tab from the Plans page to view a list of all Active and Archived plans assigned to yourself. You can view a summary of the plan details from this view including the paths, quotas and rates. You can also verify the plan by reviewing the plan details and any attached documents and providing an e-signature.

Draft Plans

Admins can view and manage all plans in a Draft state from the 'Draft Plans' tab. Admins can use the search bar to easily find a draft plan. In addition, from the kebob menu on the right hand side of each plan, Admins can do the following:

  • Assign members

  • Add document

  • Duplicate plan

  • Archive plan

  • Delete

Upon clicking a draft plan, you'll be redirected to the plan details page, where you can view more details, edit the plan, and preview plan performance metrics. For more information on the plan details page, please visit this article.

Active Plans

By clicking the 'Active Plans' tab, Admins can view and manage all plans in an Active state. Admins can use the search bar to easily find an active plan. In addition, from the kebob menu on the right hand side of each plan, Admins can do the following:

  • Assign members

  • Send verification reminder

  • Notify plan assignees via email

  • Add document

  • Cancel verification

Members

Last, on the 'Members' tab, Admins can view a list of all workspace members and assigned plans. Admins can use the search bar to easily find a member. In addition, after clicking into a member to view their assigned plans, Admins can do the following via the kebob menu on the right hand side of each plan:

  • Edit member plan details

  • Notify plan assignment

  • Send verification reminder

  • Unassign plan
