In order to automatically roll-up data from members for manager plans, team quotas, or company goals, you can create paths with roll-up attainment credit. Before creating the plan, you'll first want to complete the following steps:
Assign workspace roles
Create teams
Assign team managers
Create Roll-Up Path
From there, go to the Plans page, and click "+Add Plan" in the top right hand corner. After entering in the plan and path information, add a quota and select the option to roll-up data:
Next, enter the field name for how attainment will be measured for the quota, and enter in the quota amount and period:
Then, use the dropdown to select a team that will roll-up to the plan assignee:
Last, choose the plan and path that contains the data to roll-up attainment credit:
To add more teams, click '+ Add another'. If plan assignees manage different teams, or if a plan assignee manages multiple teams (or should receive credit for multiple teams), you'll need to add every team to the roll-up. At a later step, you'll be able to specify the team members that each plan assignee should receive attainment credit for.
When complete, click 'Next' to set up the earnings rule and finish setting up the path.
Tip: If there are multiple paths from team members that will need to be rolled up, you'll need to create additional paths and repeat the above steps.
Map Assignees to Roll-Ups
After creating all the paths in the plan, click 'Assign members' from the plan details page to assign members to this plan. In the pop-up modal, select the members to assign to the plan:
Next, you'll map the plan assignees to the roll-up team members. You'll see every roll-up path displayed. Click '+ Add Assignee' to select a plan assignee:
From there, use the dropdown on the right side to select the team members that should roll-up to the plan assignee in order to provide accurate attainment credit:
Complete the above steps for each plan assignee and roll-up path. Last, enter in the plan assignment dates for the plan assignees. Please note that these dates control the effective dates on the compensation plan and not the team assignment dates. Visit this article to learn how to assign team dates.
