How It Works
Step 1: Connect Stripe
If you haven't already, connect your Stripe account to QuoteIQ. Stripe handles all payment processing — there are no separate monthly fees or setup costs for Tap to Pay.
Step 2: Create or Open an Invoice
Create an invoice for the completed job, or open an existing unpaid invoice from the customer's profile.
Step 3: Select Tap to Pay
When collecting payment in person, select the Tap to Pay option. Your phone activates its NFC reader and displays a prompt for the customer.
Step 4: Customer Taps
The customer taps their credit card, debit card, or phone (Apple Pay / Google Pay) on your device. Payment is processed instantly through Stripe.
Step 5: Payment Confirmed
You get instant confirmation that the payment was processed. The invoice is automatically marked as paid in QuoteIQ. Both you and the customer receive a receipt.
