Route Density Zones — Plan Efficient Service Days by Geographic Clusters

How Route Density Zones help you visualize where your jobs are clustered geographically so you can plan more efficient service days.

Updated this week

Available On: Elite ($299/mo) and Max ($699/mo) plans

What Are Route Density Zones?

Route Density Zones show you WHERE your scheduled jobs are geographically concentrated. Instead of just optimizing the order of your stops (that's Route Optimization), Route Density helps you see clusters of nearby jobs so you can make smarter scheduling decisions.

Think of it this way: Route Optimization answers "what order should I visit stops?" Route Density answers "where should I work today?"

How It Works

  • Your calendar map displays geographic density zones showing where your jobs are clustered

  • Filter appointments by route density to see only the jobs in a specific geographic area

  • Plan your service days around these zones to minimize windshield time (time spent driving between jobs)

  • Identify underserved areas or opportunities to consolidate routes

Route Density vs. Route Optimization

Feature

What It Answers

Route Density

WHERE should I work today? (shows job clusters on a map)

Route Optimization

WHAT ORDER should I visit stops? (calculates efficient sequence)

Best used together: Use Route Density to plan your day's zone, then Route Optimization to sequence the stops within that zone.

Benefits

  • Minimize drive time between jobs by working in geographic clusters

  • Save fuel costs by reducing unnecessary travel

  • Complete more jobs per day when stops are close together

  • Make smarter scheduling decisions — when a customer requests a specific day, check if it fits an existing zone

Frequently Asked Questions

Which plans include Route Density?

Route Density is available on Elite ($299/mo) and Max ($699/mo) plans.

Do I need Route Optimization to use Route Density?

No — they're separate features. But they work best together. Route Density shows you where to focus, Route Optimization tells you the most efficient order to visit those stops.

Can I use Route Density for multiple crews?

Yes. Filter by crew or employee to see density zones for specific team members' schedules.
