An efficient way to insert information that is specific to your Document or your Customer is by using Placeholders or User Defined Fields (UDFs). A Placeholder/UDF is a token that you can put on your document that will allow DocFlite to insert that information automatically.
UDFs are unique to your company and can be anything you need them to be. For example;
Job Start Date, Hourly Rate, Job Title, Line Manager
Here is an example of how you add UDF's to your document, which in this case is a Proposal Template. NB you can only add UDFs to a Template.
This video shows you how to create the UDFs and how to copy the token and use it anywhere in your document. In your document, these tokens are highlighted in yellow to make them easier to find. The yellow highlighted tokens will NOT be shown to your customers. They are for your reference only.
The next example shows how you to utilize the UDFs when creating the Proposal for a client. Rather then trawling through your document to find the places you need to edit, you can fill in the necessary information all in one place:
In both of these examples we have used Document UDFs. You can also create Customer UDFs in the same way.
